I learned a valuable lesson today. Always check the online race site atleast once before the day of the race. Ok...here's the deal. I sign up for my races on Active.com...they sent me an email saying that the race started at 8am...like it has every year i have run in it for the past 5 years. So i get to the race at 7:20 to pick up my chip and number.. by the time i get my number the guy tells me the race starts in 5 mins..not 35 mins. like i thought..i'm like WTF..so i put on my number...my chip..get to the line with 1 min and 24 seconds to spare..When i get home i go to the race site and there it says that the time had been moved up 30 mins..thanks maybe you could have sent out an email or something..anyway my time was better than i thought it would be..i ran 4 miles in 33:48 which is a 8:27 mile...although my Garmin...yes you know i had to wear it said the course was 4.26 miles not 4 miles..so if that's the case i ran 7.57 min mile. The weather was overcast and 64*..not humid so i got very lucky. I know i will not be that lucky in two weeks.

Ok...Here is how i did

over all
224/471

In my age group
7/26

Women
58/180

Excellent, speedy race V! How frustrating that the race directors did not notify you of the start time change, ugh! But you still pulled off a great race. Be proud!
